However, the triumph was overshadowed by yet another setback as small forward Erkan Yilmaz had to exit the court in the second quarter.
Yilmaz left the game holding his right shoulder after a collision with Kendrick Nunn and promptly headed to the locker room.
Post-game, coach Erdem Can sadly confirmed that Yilmaz had suffered a broken shoulder during that incident.
"I am so sorry because we lost Erkan today. He broke his shoulder. I am deeply sorry for him; he is such a great character who contributes to the team," Can said on EuroLeague TV.
Yilmaz had 2 points and 3 rebounds in 12 and a half minutes.
Anadolu Efes have already been dealing with the absences of Will Clyburn, Rodrigue Beaubois, Tibor Pleiss, Elijah Bryant, Derek Willis, and Ante Zizic.
