Quentin Grimes said it's tough having to stand in the corner and wait for a couple of shots per game and feeling like you have to make them in order to stay on the court.

The New York Knicks got eliminated from the In-Season Tournament after losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. After the game, one of the Knicks players opened up about his situation on the team.

Quentin Grimes began the match in the starting five but played just 18 minutes. He missed his only shot and collected four personal fouls. Following the loss, the player expressed his disgruntlement about the situation regarding his playing time.

"It feels like if I don't hit the shot, I'm coming out. So every shot I shoot probably weighs like 100 pounds if I don't make it, and our defense, it ain't cutting it, so I know I ain't going back in," he told Kristian Winfield from The New York Daily News.

"It's just hard when you go the whole quarter without touching the ball, the whole second quarter without touching the ball, and then you get one shot and you got to make it," Grimes said. "So it's tough going out there and just standing in the corner the whole game. Then you got to make the shot when you shoot the ball one or two times per game. It is what it is. We'll see."

Grimes, a third-year player in the NBA, is averaging 23.1 minutes of playing time per game this season, down from a career-high 29.9 minutes last year. His scoring has decreased significantly, going from 11.3 points per game last season to 6.2 this season while averaging 6 field-goal attempts per match (8.5 last season).

"I look at how the unit is functioning. And so, I would say tonight, we didn't play well, and to put it on Quentin is not fair," head coach Tom Thibodeau said post-game.
