"He wasn't with us long, but I think you guys are getting a young player that seems he's got a lot of experience. He played on the Serbian national team, he played in a lot of big games. Obviously, he's had his opportunity in the NBA with a couple of different teams, and he has some skill to him. I think he's going to do really well over there," Mike Brown told Tolis Kotzias from SDNA.
"I'm excited for him, I'm happy for him, happy for Olympiacos," the coach said. "They worked with us when it came to bringing Sasha [Vezenkov] over. Obviously, they're getting a pretty good player from us at this point. I wish nothing but the best for him and Olympiacos."
Overall, Petrusev played in just three NBA games this season for 10 minutes, scoring 3 points in total.
Last season with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade in the EuroLeague, he averaged 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds for 12.6 PIR per game. Petrusev is set to debut with Olympiacos in Friday's matchup against FC Bayern Munich.
