"Any kid born in 2000[s], LeBron's my favorite player growing up. It's hard for him not to be for a lot of us," Haliburton explained.

"LeBron was my favorite player growing up. I was a Cavs fan, then a Heat fan, then a Cavs fan again, and then a Lakers fan before I got drafted. That's just how it went..." He elaborated. "To be able to compete against him in a championship is kind of like a storybook a little bit, and it's going to be a lot of fun.

But that's the great part about being in the NBA: it's getting to compete against your idols [on[ a nightly basis," Haliburton explained.

The star player also talked about the run that the Indiana Pacers had in the In-Season Tournament, beating some favorites to reach the final against the Los Angeles Lakers.

"For us, we are not supposed to be here. Nobody expected us to be here. We've been probably looked at to lose the majority of our tournament games," he stated. "The Philly [76ers] game we weren't supposed to win, the Boston game we definitely weren't supposed to win, the Milwaukee game we definitely weren't supposed to win,

That's just been part of the storybook of this, and it's been a lot of fun, but it's not done yet," he concluded ambitiously.

Tyrese Haliburton is currently averaging 26.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and an outstanding 12.1 assists, which is a league-high at the moment.
