According to BasketNews' Jonas Leksas, the Lithuanian champions are negotiating the final contract details with Austin Hollins and the two sides are close to reaching an agreement.

Zalgiris were in need of a perimeter player after Arnas Butkevicius and Lukas Lekavicius were out of the lineup for a long time.

The 32-year-old swingman spent last season with Maccabi Tel Aviv but had to undergo a knee operation in January that kept him sidelined for the better part of 2023. Hollins had a valid contract with the Israeli club, but it was terminated in the summer.

In the 2022-23 EuroLeague season, Hollins played 19 matches, during which he spent 9.5 minutes on the floor, averaging 1.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 in PIR. Hollins spent 4 seasons in the Euroleague with Zenit St. Petersburg, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade and Maccabi.

Statistically, his debut season, 2019-2020, was the best. He averaged 10.4 points and 7.9 in PIR with Zenit.
