While the NBA In-Season Tournament was a success in terms of turnout and business in Las Vegas, the competition may change locations in the future.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Commissioner of the NBA Adam Silver hinted that the location was only agreed upon for just one year and that a "tweak" may be implemented next year.

Regardless of such a statement, no other concrete options were named, and the tournament returning to Las Vegas is still a possibility.

The article by Amick also mentions the well-pronounced interest of the NBA to expand to Las Vegas with a team. This could help to make the city a viable option to host the In-Season Tournament again.

Sports Illustrated called the In-Season Tournament "an unqualified success," mentioning that average attendance in November was the highest in the season so far, with 18,206 people tuning in per game.
