Basketball games sometimes feature scuffles between players. Sometimes, the fans get involved as well. This time, a fight broke out between the match's referees in Lakewood, Colorado.

The incident happened during a 4th-grade boys' game between Cherry Creek and Legend Blue. Three of the four referees started a brawl at some point in the contest.

Video footage posted on X, formerly Twitter, shows a younger official trying to punch an older colleague while he was being tacked by a third referee almost at the same time. Just moments later, two of the three officials square off against one another in fighting stances before being separated by other people.

The fourth official remained calm and tried to separate the fiery colleagues.

The three referees involved in the brawl were suspended from the league, TMZ Sports reports. The local police are aware of the incident, but no arrests have been made so far.

"Most importantly, we apologize to everyone that had to witness their unacceptable behavior - especially the kids," Gold Crown Foundation, the organization that held the event, told TMZ Sports in a statement.
