"My signing process was hectic and fast," said Saras. "Of course, it's not easy, but at the end of the day, we are here to do our job, to help Fenerbahce win games and, hopefully, achieve big victories."
"I'm definitely very excited to be here; there are so many familiar faces and places for me," he mentioned, being a previous player of Fenerbahce and having coached some players of the team now. "I realize it's not an easy situation, so we will need everyone's support. Little by little, we will try to implement some new ideas."
"I am grateful for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to the upcoming period."
The Lithuanian coach also reflected on his brief stint as a player of Fenerbahce in 2011.
"Even though I've been coaching for many years, my days as a player here don't seem so far away," Saras reflected. "It's crazy, and it's actually amazing. It's great to know what Fenerbahce means, to go out on the court feeling how many fans are behind this club and the support that they give us. It's very exciting."
Finally, Fenerbahce's specialist talked about the upcoming game against Monaco on December 15.
"As for the game against Monaco, I think everyone is aware of their quality. They are a project that has been in the Final Four and has continuity with their coaches and their group of players," Jasikevicius explained.
"We just have to go on the floor, do our best, and try to win," he stated. "Of course, in the situation we are in, everything happened really fast. We will try to prepare our players for this game with very small touches and bits of information on top of the style of game they already have, and we will fight to win the game."
