I wake up every day and think, 'Yeah, one day closer,'" Morant shared with the media on Friday.
During Morant's absence, the Grizzlies have struggled in the early part of the 2023-24 season, managing only six wins in 23 games.
"I take full responsibility for that, even though I'm not out on the floor. Decisions I made didn't allow me to be out there to go to battle with my team," he said. "Playoffs and Play-In is a while from now."
The anticipated return of Ja Morant is slated for December 19 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The star point guard faced suspension for posting videos of a gun on social media twice within three months.
Morant emphasized the significance of therapy in his journey, describing it as an eye-opening process that exposed aspects of himself.
"It was definitely tough. Horrible days... [but] with the support I had throughout this process, it definitely helped me a lot," he said.
"It's still a process. I'm not done learning myself, but I definitely understand why the things that happened, happened. But I can't say I sit up here and regret it because, in the end, it made me better."
"I've made a lot of my mistakes. Even with my family. Not some that have even been public. Even with my family. I've done a lot," Morant added.
