Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks due to a right ankle injury, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic. Fortunately, tests revealed no significant damage to the ankle.

The injury occurred in the first quarter of Friday night's game against the New York Knicks when the 30-year-old Beal, playing in just his sixth game this season, landed on the foot of New York's Donte DiVincenzo after making a 3-point shot. DiVincenzo received a Flagrant 1 foul for not providing Beal with sufficient landing space.

Following the incident, Beal, a three-time All-Star, remained on the ground in pain for a few minutes. Despite the discomfort, he managed to get up and make his free throw before heading to the locker room.

Beal has been dealing with a sore back for much of the past two months.

Additionally, key players like Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have faced time off this season due to various injuries.

The trio of Durant, Booker, and Beal had only played one game together this season before Friday's unfortunate injury.
