Down by nine (116-125) and with 42 seconds to go, the Rockets pressed the Bucks trying to intercept the ball. After one pass, Houston's Dillon Brooks tried to save a loose ball and went flying into the stands.
Initially, the referee showed a flopping signal and did not call a foul against Brooks. The player started passionately arguing and received a technical foul quickly thereafter. Following the technical foul, Brooks continued arguing and got ejected.
The Rockets player was quickly joined by the team's head coach, Ime Udoka, who also argued over the call and got ejected for it.
"Brooks was assessed his first technical foul for disrespecting a game official using profanity. By rule, the play was stopped at 38.9 as we deemed that as the first neutral opportunity following the flopping violation," referee Bill Kennedy said in the post-game pool report.
The Bucks ended up beating the Rockets 128-119.
