Antetokounmpo grabbed 17 rebounds in the game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night. With his 14th board, he passed the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first place on the Bucks' all-time rebound list.
Giannis currently has 7165 rebounds in his career in the regular season and is now the leader in points, rebounds, and assists in franchise history, becoming only the fourth player to do it in NBA history. Previously, this honor belonged to just LeBron James (Cavaliers), Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), and Michael Jordan (Bulls).
Antetokounmpo finished the match with 26 points and 17 rebounds.
Despite passing Abdul-Jabbar on the Bucks' rebounding list, Antetokounmpo is nowhere close to his total rebounding numbers. Currently, Giannis is 117th on the all-time list, together with Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis, with 7165 rebounds each. Abdul-Jabbar, meanwhile, is fourth all-time with more than twice as many rebounds - 17,440.
Last week, Giannis was involved in a game ball controversy following his 64-point performance against the Indiana Pacers. This time, the Bucks saved the game ball for Antetokounmpo without any trouble.
