The 26-year-old 2.06m American center was on an expiring contract with FC Bayern Munich, and the German side consented to his transfer to Belgrade.

BasketNews reported about the agreement on Sunday evening.

Throughout this EuroLeague season, Gillespie has averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 9 minutes per game. In his rookie EuroLeague season last year, Gillespie maintained an average of 3.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in 18 minutes per game.

Across four German Bundesliga games, Gillespie posted averages of 3.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 12 minutes. Prior to his decision to play in the EuroLeague, Gillespie was formally a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, and Orlando Magic but mostly played for their development teams.

Per regulations, players initially registered in the EuroLeague gain eligibility to sign with another EuroLeague club from December 30 to February 7.

Gillespie was among the few players expected to change teams during the transfer window.
