Sfairopoulos addresses rumors about Mike Tobey, doesn't rule out more signings / News - Basketnews.com
Crvena Zvezda added Freddie Gillespie to their roster just one day before facing Real Madrid. Coach Giannis Sfairopoulos was asked whether that development will lead to Mike Tobey's departure and didn't hide the fact that the club has still set its eyes on the market.

As Zvezda count five wins in 14 EuroLeague contests, the need for additions seems pretty obvious.
The day before the game against league leaders Real Madrid in Belgrade, Zvezda announced Gillespie on a deal that runs until the end of the season.
"We looked for options on the market. Some players didn't want to come, some did and one of the best who had that desire was Freddie, so we signed him," coach Giannis Sfairopoulos explained.
"We expect him to bring us energy and good defense. Of course, he's a player who knows the EuroLeague well. I don't believe that his arrival will affect the players who are here because everyone has their role," the Greek tactician clarified, before making another clarification on Mike Tobey's case.
"Mike is an important player for us and a big part of our game on offense and defense. We need him to have a good game to help the team achieve its goals," he said.
Sfairopoulos didn't rule out the possibility of Zvezda signing more players if necessary.
"We're open to see if there is an opportunity to sign a player who can make the difference. I'll say it again: I don't want to bring in a player just for the sake of bringing him in.
The market is crowded, everyone is looking for players, and the good ones are mostly under contract. So, it is not easy to bring in reinforcements," he pointed out.
"We will do the best we can, with the help of management and the president [Nebojsa Covic], to bring in those who can help the team. If we find him, we could sign him."
