Following Tuesday's defeat to Real Madrid, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade head coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos confirmed ongoing negotiations for Shabazz Napier to switch teams, signaling his departure from the Serbian powerhouse.

Sfairopoulos' post-game remarks prompted a response from Napier, who took to Instagram with a story urging, "Speak the truth in front of the camera!"

When asked about Napier's reaction on Wednesday, the Greek coach replied:

"No, I am not on social media. I only have Twitter, but only for my comments," Sfairopoulos told Mozzart Sport. "I do not have to say anything more than what I said in the press conference."

According to Meridian Sport, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Napier's former team, is the frontrunner to secure the services of the American guard.

Meanwhile, Crvena Zvezda currently sit in the 16th position in the EuroLeague standings, having won five out of 15 games in the season.

Zvezda face Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, the former team of coach Sfairopoulos, to conclude their double-round week action on Thursday.

"Look, when you are in the club for four years, and you get connected with the people in the club -- the management, the players, let's say, it is a part of your life. I always have great feelings for my previous teams. Same thing for Maccabi, especially with the fans of Maccabi. I lived great moments that I will never forget. But now, I am the coach of Crvena Zvezda. I will do my best tomorrow," Sfairopoulos commented on the upcoming EuroLeague matchup.
