According to Shams Chanaria of The Athletic, the 76ers "admires and has an interest in" the two aforementioned players. Zach LaVine is averaging 21 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, while OG Anunoby has averaged 14.7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

The journalist also mentioned Joel Embiid's high level of involvement in the team's roster planning and the performance of the players. Particularly, Chanaria talked about how Embiid increased his effectiveness following Kelly Oubre Jr.'s unfortunate accident.

In this way, according to Chanaria, Embiid demonstrated his understanding that there is a need to have more scorers on the team, which would support the 76ers' interest in LaVine and Anunoby.

On the other side of the aisle, Chanaria also stated that other teams are trying to acquire Tobias Harris of the 76ers, who has been having a good season, averaging 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

Despite the interest, the Philadelphia squad is not interested in letting Harris go, according to Chanaria.

Right now, the Philadelphia 76ers sit at the third position in the Eastern Conference with a win-loss record of 19-8.
