AS Monaco and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne had to play a game after Christmas. However, French fans will have to wait a bit longer to see it.

The French League (LNB) announced that the game, which was initially scheduled to be held on December 28th, has been postponed to February 6th.

The move was performed due to the incredibly tight schedule of both clubs, which would've occurred otherwise. Namely, Monaco host Metropolitans 92 on December 26th and play against FC Barcelona in Spain on December 29th, while ASVEL host Real Madrid on December 28th, the same day when the matchup was strangely scheduled.

Now, Monaco will not have to play three matches in four days, and ASVEL will be able to concentrate on their EuroLeague matchup.

Monaco have 15 wins and only 1 loss in the competition and stand alone in the LNB standings, while ASVEL are second with 12 wins and 5 losses.
