Ukrainian big man Dmytro Skapintsev has signed a two-way contract with the New York Knicks.

In 13 games this season, the 25-year-old has averaged 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 18.6 minutes per game. He grew up playing basketball at Cherkas Mon Monkey.
Per DraftExpress, the Ukrainian big man "had the longest wingspan with a sensational mark of 2.32 m, the 4th longest mark in EuroCamp history edging Bismack Biyombo. During the past summer, Skapintsev appeared in five Summer League games, and averaged 7.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assist and 1.8 blocks over 17.3 minutes. He last signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Knicks in August, only to be waived in September.
The Ukrainian native had been on New York’s radar recently after the injuries to Robinson and Jericho Sims left the Knicks with few options at center. Skapintsev joins Isaiah Hartenstein and Taj Gibson on the depth chart.
