The Los Angeles Lakers have been involved in multiple reports about their potential trade activity in the upcoming weeks and months before the trade deadline. A new target has surfaced for the organization.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Atlanta Hawks star guard Dejounte Murray is seen as a potential target.

Chicago Bulls wing Zach LaVine has been involved in Lakers trade rumors recently as well. Charania notes that the Lakers would most likely have to give up multiple first-round picks and at least one notable player like Austin Reaves to land a player of Murray or LaVine's caliber.

Murray is still under the old contract he signed with the San Antonio Spurs and earns $17,714,000 this season. His new 4-year $120 million deal with the Hawks will kick in starting next year.

The Hawks are below .500 with just 12 wins in 29 games, and currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Lakers have 17 wins and 15 losses and are 9th in the West.
