"I expect change. We expected a lot more. But we have to be real, and then there are some things that hadn't been working with the makeup of the team," spoke Gores candidly.
"Accountability that has to be held," he stated. "There might be additions, you know, to staff and all that stuff, but what's for sure is change is coming."
One of the persons to be held responsible includes Troy Weaver, Pistons' GM, who the article states might lose his job after one more month of failure. Thinking about the large cap space of the Pistons, Weaver could have a lot of work to do soon with the team already having trade aims.
Meanwhile, Gores showed his admiration for the fans.
"We have an incredible city still backing us, and I know some of them are mad at me. I understand that. I get it. I don't blame them. All of the dots there are kind of ready to be connected," he noted.
"I'm still bright on the future. But it’s not going well. It’s raining outside," Gores stated.
"We can't pretend it's sunny. It's not sunny. Get the umbrella out. We got things to do," the owner concluded.
Currently, the Pistons have a record of 28-2.
