ABA League has been hit with a scandal.

Mornar-Barsko zlato's former head coach and current president, Djordjije Pavicevic, has been arrested by Montenegrin authorities.

Alongside three other culprits, the basketball operative is charged with cigarette smuggling, Vijesti report.

The four people were arrested "on suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, falsifying an official document, and smuggling by aiding," the State Prosecutor announced.

"There are grounds for suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization," he added. Among the other three people arrested, two are the Revenue and Customs Administration employees, and one is a former employee of Pavicevic's company.

Mornar are currently last in the ABA League with 1 win and 12 losses. Jovanovic's brother Mihailo is currently the head coach of the team.
