To begin the evening, Anadolu Efes Istanbul welcomed Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in the first Turkish derby this season. After taking over the team in early December, Fenerbahce's head coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, remained perfect, winning his sixth game in a row.
Just half an hour later, Zalgiris Kaunas looked to bounce back from their recent struggles with a home game against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Despite multiple efforts, a gigantic third quarter from the guests was enough to ultimately take the victory and give the Lithuanian team its sixth EuroLeague loss in a row.
At the same time, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade hosted Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the famous Stark Arena. Before the game, Partizan fans donated hundreds, if not thousands, of plush toys to charity for children in foster care. After losing to Zadar in the ABA League, Partizan showed different energy on the court, but it wasn't enough to take down Virtus, and the guests earned their 12th victory of the season.
Later on in the evening, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne tried to give Real Madrid only their second loss this season, who competed without four of their main players. ASVEL even led by as many as 9 points in the third quarter, but Real Madrid managed to push through and got away with a tough 1-point win.
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens managed to build on the recent winning streak with a comfortable win over Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. Meanwhile, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan got a pretty easy win against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz despite playing without the recently injured Shavon Shields and having to register 17-year-old Samuele Miccoli to the roster.
To finish the evening, FC Bayern Munich bounced back after a loss last week in a game against a depleted Valencia Basket. Valencia had a chance to miraculously win following a series of unlikely events, but Xabi Lopez-Arostegui's midcourt shot was no good, and the Bavarians took home the victory.
