In a conversation with teammate Michael Porter Jr. on the 'Curious Mike' podcast, Jokic shared his feelings about the public's heightened attention.

"If you go outside and do anything, throw something next to the trash can, 'Oh, he cannot even throw it in a trash [bin].' Like people are making a big deal of such small things and just feel sad whenever you go to the bar, restaurant, some game, and people are just taking their phones out and trying to record you. I am going to say that's rude," he pointed out. "It's not that I am showing myself. I am just who I am."

Jokic wants to live a calm life after his playing days are over.

"Being famous, I think some people like it. I don't, really. When I finish my career, I really wish nobody knows me, and I really wish my kid or kids in the future really remember me as a dad, not as a basketball player," the Serbian center revealed.

He also disclosed another personal goal.

"To not have a phone, I think that's another big goal of mine," Jokic said.

"To live in the moment, like being a normal person, like go drink with your buddy or go have lunch or go play with the kid or go ride horses and nobody's going to make a big deal of that."
