Jordan Loyd is poised to make a return to EuroLeague action after overcoming a back injury.

After being absent from EuroLeague action since December 5, AS Monaco guard Jordan Loyd is gearing up for his return to the court next week.

"The good thing is that Jordan Loyd came back to practices and that we can expect him. We will see day by day, but he is doing more every day. Another extra player for us. We missed him," coach Sasa Obradovic shared an optimistic update after Friday's 91-71 win over FC Barcelona.

Loyd had been dealing with a back injury that kept him sidelined for nearly a month. He previously faced a lumbar spine injury in August, leading to an extended absence.

The 30-year-old has averaged 8.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 9.0 PIR over five EuroLeague games this season.

Monaco enters the New Year with a 10-7 record, and they find themselves tied for fourth place with Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, and Maccabi.
