According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the Knicks maintain interest in acquiring Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns.

Even though the interest remains, Charania noted during the Run It Back show on FanDuel TV, a concrete offer hasn't materialized yet.

The Knicks traded away RJ Barrett alongside a second-round pick and Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday to acquire OG Anunoby, Malachi Flynn, and Precious Achiuwa. The Knicks are likely to prioritize playmaking after the trade, Charania added.

With the Timberwolves having one of the best seasons in recent memory and sitting in first place in the Western Conference, the trade would most likely have to involve multiple players and draft picks.

With 18 wins and 15 losses, the Knicks are currently 8th in the Eastern Conference.
