After arriving at the Serbian club from the Chicago Bulls in the NBA, Simonovic struggled to find his spot in the rotation and averaged just 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague in 11 contests, averaging under 8 minutes of playing time.
Siminovic's stats were better in the ABA League - 6.3 points and 3.9 rebounds for 6.3 PIR in 11 games.
Before coming back to Europe, Simonovic spent two seasons in the NBA, mostly competing in the G-League. He played in 16 games in two years, averaging 3.2 minutes per game. Simonovic spent the vast majority of time playing for the Windy City Bulls, where he averaged 16.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Besiktas are currently 5th in EuroCup's Group A with eight wins and five losses.
