Without delay, they hit the Stark Arena floor, diving into preparations for the upcoming eternal derby in the EuroLeague Round 19 against Partizan.
Despite the triumph in Istanbul, Red Star had to do without one of their standout players this season, Luka Mitrovic, who sustained an injury in the match against Panathinaikos.
While he has started individual training, his availability for the derby remains uncertain.
"Today, he engaged in some light running, and tomorrow, he'll have shooting practice with the team. A decision on his participation in the derby will be made just before the game," coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos said, via Mozzart Sport.
Crvena Zvezda started the year 2024 on an ideal note, but they now face a challenging schedule until month-end.
Despite the potential need for long rotation, the club opted to loan out Marko Simonovic to Besiktas before the first game of the calendar year.
"After the Partizan game, we have an away game against Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana, followed by another EuroLeague double round. Our focus is on these upcoming matches. After January 15, we will see if we need someone and if we sign someone," Sfairopoulos noted.
Crvena Zvezda host Partizan on Thursday at 20:00 CET.
