Zvezda are playing their next matches against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne on Tuesday and EA7 Olimpia Milano two days later.
However, what worries the coaching staff and fans much more is the injury of Milos Teodosic.
The 37-year-old point guard spent 13 minutes (4 points, 3 assists) on the court, and after the game, he appeared to be reaching the team's bus limping.
During the game, Teodosic stepped on the foot of an opposing player. The veteran guard ended up on the floor and immediately grabbed his wrist and headed to the bench with a painful grimace on his face. Nevertheless, he did manage to return to the court afterward.
Zvezda coach Giannis Sfairopoulos was not particularly eloquent when it came to his player's condition.
"It is not a knee injury, but an ankle injury," he clarified. "We'll see if he'll be fine, the doctor will tell us," the Greek play-caller said.
Red Star played in Ljubljana without Nikola Topic, who is expected to take at least a month off due to a knee injury sustained in the duel with Partizan, and Luka Mitrovic, who could return to action next week.
Referring to the game, Sfairopoulos stressed that Zvezda's defense was not enough.
"For me, this is because of the schedule we have," he argued. "It's not easy, we played three games in five days. We had two trips in these five days and we tried to do our best, but it wasn't enough. In the NBA, these losses are what they call 'schedule losses,'" he said.
