Myers and Spielman were recruited by Josh Harris, the team's owner, and will help Harris select a new head of football operations and a new coach.
"Bob Myers — architect of four NBA championship teams — will take a lead role in identifying and coordinating interviews with candidates for both the Commanders top football operations and head coaching jobs – with Rick Spielman working closely with him," state Wojnarowksi's sources.
Myers served the Golden State Warriors between the years of 2011 and 2023. During his stint with the California squad, he earned executive of the year honors twice (in 2015 and 2017). With the Warriors, Myers won 4 championships.
After his successful career, he became an analyst at ESPN, which he still works as.
