Power forward Draymond Green is soon to rejoin his team, the Golden State Warriors, after he was suspended for a series of violent incidents against fellow players.

On the eve of his return, Green talked in a press conference about his absence.

"It's urgent from a professional standpoint because I wasn't hurt; at least my body wasn't hurt. My mind was hurt, my feelings [were] hurt," Green stated with a slight chuckle.

"I have cost my team enough. I have cost this organization enough. It's not a time for me to just come back and be like, 'alright I am going to take my time and get back when I can...' No, like, you caused this yourself," the experienced player said, pointing the blame towards himself.

For the power forward, the time of his suspension further motivated him to rejoin the team and help them.

"You sit home, and you watch these games, and as a competitor, you want to help."

However, he still believes that his return is not an event to be greeted with adulation.

"It's funny. [The] coach said welcome back, and [Brandin Podziemski] started clapping, and everyone started clapping. I am like, I am not sure if I deserve a round of applause, but I'll take it," Green said with a small laugh.

"I am half joking, but you don't just get grace and [say] take my time and get back again... I am coming back from a suspension, not an injury. So, there was a huge sense of urgency," the forward admitted.

In spite of not having played for 12 games, Green remains committed to delivering a strong performance for his team.

"I pushed like crazy today, and I will push it like crazy every day until I can get back on the floor. I am going to do all that I can to meet the requirements that I have to meet... in order to get back to the court."
