Mike James comments on Jerian Grant's defense, disagrees with Ataman / News - Basketnews.com
Mike James explains why he thinks Jerian Grant is getting more credit for his defensive efficiency in PAO-Monaco game than he probably deserves, voices a different opinion than Ergin Ataman, and names the players and defensive strategies that can slow him down.

The American guard was immensely frustrated at the officiating in the game, which saw the Greek sidetake the visitors by storm (88-63).
"Sick of the disrespect. I have been in this league for ten years," James wrote on Twitter.
"Can't get no calls of the sudden. I get a technical every game because y'all f*ck up," he continued referring to the game's officials. "I work on my game in the summer. Work on yours," he asked the referees.
James also posted a screenshot that, according to him, demonstrates that there is a clear foul on him in a layup attempt.
He then took to his Instagram account to post a story with a screenshot where Kostas Antetokounmpo visibly put his hand on James' back in another layup attempt.
"Push in the back. Unsportsmanlike (foul). Automatic call. No question," he wrote.
Just one week ago, James was held down by Olympiacos Piraeus' defense to a season scoring low 10 points on 4/14 FG shooting.
At OAKA, James finished the game with 11 points on 4/15 field-goal shooting, as well as 5 turnovers to 4 assists. He stayed on the court for 36 minutes, which is five more than Jerian Grant, the man mainly in charge of guarding him.
"We started the game with fantastic defense, especially against Mike James," Panathinaikos' coach Ergin Ataman said in the postgame presser.
"Actually, it wasn't difficult for us to prepare [for] this game because we had the same strategy as two days ago against Efes and [Shane] Larkin. Jerian Grant stopped Larkin and now James, of course, with the help of our bigs who tried to trap him."
