Javonte Smart is set to debut in the EuroLeague after accumulating experience in 18 NBA games.

Crvena Zvezda Belgrade has finalized a deal with Javonte Smart, a 24-year-old guard who stands at 1.93 meters tall, sources tell BasketNews.

Crvena Zvezda made it official by announcing the addition of Smart, confirming the report. Smart signed a deal until the end of the season with an option to extend it for a further year.

Smart started the season with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-way contract but has appeared in a single NBA game and recently parted ways with the team.

During the 2023-24 G League season, Smart averaged 20.3 points (40.2% 3P), 3.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists for the Sixers' affiliate team, the Delaware Blue Coats.

A month ago, Smart exploded for a career-high 40 points, including a career-high ten made threes against the Raptors' G League team.

Despite not being selected in the 2021 NBA Draft, Smart has accumulated 18 appearances in the NBA, playing for the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Sixers.

In these games, he averaged 2.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 11 minutes of play.

Crvena Zvezda currently occupies the 13th position in the EuroLeague standings with 9 wins and 12 losses.
