The former Defensive Player of the Year was suspended indefinitely by the league for striking Jusuf Nurkic in the head during a game on December 12.
He ended up serving an official suspension of 12 games before being reinstated but missed four more due to a ramp-up period for his return to play. According to a report by Mirror US, Green lost $1.9 million during the time he was suspended.
Green has since spoken about his suspension, revealing that he considered retirement but was ultimately talked out of it by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
"I told him, 'Adam this is too much for me. ... This is too much. It's all becoming too much for me -- and I'm going to retire.' And Adam said, 'You're making a very rash decision, and I won't let you do that," recounted Green.
The power forward was full of praise for the Commissioner.
"We had a long, great conversation -- very helpful to me. Very thankful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam, who's more about helping you than hurting you, helping you than punishing you. He's more about the players."
The 18-21 Warriors have gone 8-8 in the games Green missed.
Green, 33, has averaged 7.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists this season.
