After losing Ja Morant for the remainder of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies lost another player with a long-term injury.

The Grizzlies announced that Desmond Bane suffered a Grade 3 left ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

With 5:05 remaining in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, bane drove to the basket and awkwardly fell, twisting his ankle. The player left the game and did not return.

The organization also announced that Jake LaRavia will be out for at least three weeks with a high left ankle sprain, which he picked up during Saturday's match against the New York Knicks.

Besides Morant, the Grizzlies are also without Marcus Smart, who suffered a severe finger injury and will be sidelined for six weeks as well.
