Namely, it was determined that Vildoza breached the contract after going to the NBA in 2021 and returning to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade in Europe afterward despite his rights belonging to Baskonia. The court ordered Vildoza to pay 1 million euros.
Baskonia, however, now claim that the deal included a 2 million euro compensation. Subsequently, the organization will file an appeal to reach the full amount.
"Everything is clear: there is a signed contract with obvious conditions. It's not possible that you sign a contract with some conditions so that I let you go, and now, because you're not interested, you won't pay that money, which is two million euros," the club's president Jose Antonio Querejetatold El Correo last season.
Vildoza, who now plays for Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, is currently sidelined with a long-term injury.
