Kolossos held a 5-point lead (32-27) when the two teams headed to the locker room for the half-time break. Olympiacos reacted with a 9-0 run and never looked back.
Nikola Milutinov racked up 18 points and 15 rebounds, while Alec Peters had 15 points and 8 rebounds. Coach Giorgos Bartzokas saw Moustapha Fall and Filip Petrusev skip the contest due to injury, while Shaquielle McKissic and Luke Sikma were also absent due to the foreign-player rule in the Greek league.
And even though the Reds won, Alec Peters couldn't hide his disappointment.
"Very difficult first half on our end," he admitted in a flash interview with ERT.
"We did not show up and present the same team that this home crowd is used to seeing. It was a very poor showing in the first half. I'm glad that in the second half, once Thomas [Walkup] got that dunk, it got everybody juiced up and we presented a little bit better picture. But the first half wasn't great."
Peters went on to stress that, ahead of the games against Maccabi (next Thursday) and Panathinaikos (Monday), the "whole team feels embarrassed right now."
"We're disappointed in ourselves," he added.
"This is not the Olympiacos that we want to show to our fans and that the club deserves."
The Reds were defeated by FC Barcelona and Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz last week, which Peters called "not great."

"This game against Maccabi at home is a must-win, like a playoff game. The same goes for the game against Panathinaikos."
Asked about the things Olympiacos need to change, Peters said that "everybody individually needs to step up, myself included."
"The level that we expect from ourselves hasn't been there. The fighting spirit and the team spirit have taken a little bit of a hit. It's something that we all recognize and know that we need to fix. We need to fix it now. I'm looking forward to seeing how we'll handle this, bounce back, and turn it into a great few weeks for us."
Peters said he's hopeful that Olympiacos have reached their low point and that it's all uphill from here.
"This is as bad as it gets and it's only better from here. Once we hit our stride again like when we were winning four games in a row in EuroLeague and we start playing to the level that we expect from ourselves, you're going to see a much better picture," he vehemently argued.
