The Greek club has released the guard, multiple Greek media outlets report via information from the organization. Papas will finish the season playing for Promitheas Patras.

Promitheas will compete in Group L in the Basketball Champions League's (BCL) Round of 16. Papas is eligible to play for the Greek club in the BCL, but he will be designated as a foreigner in the competition despite having a Greek passport.

Only players who have played for at least three years with his passport between the ages of 12 and 20, and Papas doesn't meet such a condition, having been born in the USA. Promitheas currently have seven foreigners on the roster, the maximum limit BCL allows. As such, one of the players will have to be left out of the roster if Papas were to play in the competition this season.

Papas played in just two EuroLeague games this season, totaling 6:20 minutes of playing time on the court. He played in 10 games in the Greek League (ESAKE), averaging 2.9 points per game in 7:20 minutes of playing time.
