NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal explained why he considers Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder above Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic.

Shaquille O'Neal, one of the legendary players of the NBA, stated that he prefers Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over Luka Doncic, two respective young stars of their teams, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks.

In the TNT Pregame Show, while a discussion was being on the best guard across the NBA, Shaq was asked to pick between SGA and Doncic.

"I am going to have to take him [SGA]," said Shaq confidently. "Luka is a [fabulous] player, but this kid? He plays the right way, gets his teammates involved..." the former All-Star praised the young guard.

"When he puts his head down and goes to the basket, no one [can stop him]."

For Shaq, SGA is one of the best players in the league at this moment.

"I am taking him right now. He's definitely emerged as one of my favorite players right now because I like stories like this: guys that come out of nowhere... He's a hell of a player right now."

The legendary player's remarks seem to be backed up by SGA's statistics, as the Canadian guard is having a breakout season with averages of 31 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists on 55.2% field goal shooting.
