Terence Davis, who currently plays for Rip City Remix, the G League affiliate of the Portland Trail Blazers, revealed interest from the EuroLeague in the summer of 2023.

Speaking to HoopsHype, the shooting guard had the following to say.

"I think only a few people know this: I turned down a good amount of money to play overseas in Greece, in the EuroLeague," stated Davis. "I said no, as I want to get back in the NBA, and to stay in, you have to play in the G League."

As may be recalled, Olympiacos Piraeus was interested in signing the player. However, a deal did not materialize because of Davis's NBA ambitions.

For the American guard, the decision was straightforward but not easy to make.

"It wasn't hard, but it was a tough decision. Anytime there's money on the table, you never want to leave it out because you never know what happens... Sometimes, you gotta make sacrifices, and that's what I try to do: make a sacrifice to get somewhere where I feel like I belong; I feel like I'm an NBA player," explained the guard.

Moreover, his family concerns also weighed against a possible move overseas.

"I didn't want to take my family overseas and have my wife in a different country with a newborn," Davis said, mentioning his child. "So, I just made sacrifices for my family and decided I'd stay in the United States."

At the moment, the shooting guard is sidelined with a complete rupture of his Achilles but aims to return before the end of the year: "I'm hoping for a complete and fast recovery to return for training camp in August or September."

With the Trail Blazers affiliate, Davis is averaging 15.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
