According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the player has expressed excitement about being in the Pacers and that he is looking forward to working on a new contract with the team.
Currently, Siakam's contract will expire in the upcoming July, and he will become a free agent unless a new document takes effect.
Wojnarowski's statements have been corroborated by Siakam's agent, Todd Ramasar, who told Andscape the following.
"I'm excited that Pascal is getting a first class opportunity with the Pacers, being paired with Tyrese [Haliburton] and Myles [Turner] and being coached by a great coach in Rick Carlisle. His future [there] looks bright there."
This year, Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists on 52.2% field goal shooting.
