Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid praised Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Superstar Joel Embiid, the starting center of the Philadelphia 76ers, commented on Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves with high praise.

Embiid's remarks came at the end of the Orlando Magic-76ers game, in which the Philadelphia team trounced the Magic with a score of 109-124.

Edwards's name came up when the NBC Sports Philadelphia reporter asked Embiid about his behind-the-backboard dunk, which is a move that Edwards often performs.

"Anthony Edwards is, you know, one of my favorite three players in the league. He's up there. I mean, the dude is so nice, and I saw it [Edwards performing the move] last night. I was like, 'Well if he can do it, why can't I do it too?'" Embiid said with a smile.

"I am a big fan of his. So I love him, and I love his game. So I was like, 'Well, if I'm a big fan of him, you know if I grow up, I want to be like him. So if he does it, why can't I do it too?" the center stated.

Embiid is having a fantastic season, leading the NBA in scoring (35.1 points per game) and showing solid performances in rebounding (11.4 rebounds per game) and playmaking (5.9 assists per game). He is also showing remarkable efficiency, with 53.8% field goal shooting on average.

For his part, Edwards is also having a strong season, averaging 26.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.
