When asked by the New York Post about rumors of a possible trade to the Knicks, the small forward did not hold back about his wish to play for the New York team.

"I am a dog. I play extremely hard on both ends of the floor. I can do just about whatever [Thibodeau] needs me to do," said Brown, quite bluntly.

He also revealed that he conversed with the Knicks before signing a$45 million two-year deal with the Indiana Pacers before the start of the season.

"I play extremely hard. I would think [I'm] the type of player that he likes," Brown said in reference to Thibodeau, expressing strong respect for the coach.

"Every time we play Thibs, I go up to him and shake his hand just because of what he’s done. Nothing but respect for Thibs."

The small forward was recently traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Toronto Raptors. This season, he is averaging 12 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest.
