Massimiliano Menetti will join the Lithuanian club's coaching staff, Menetti's now-former club, Hapoel Eilat, officially announced on Sunday. The Lithuanian organization confirmed the news a day later.

Menetti asked to leave the team to join Zalgiris instead, and the two sides terminated the contract to allow the move, Eilat communicated.

Eilat are currently last in the Israeli Winner League with 2 wins and 9 losses.

The 50-year-old has previously coached UnaHotels Reggio Emilia for multiple seasons, both as a head coach and as an assistant. Menetti combined 14 seasons with the Italian club in three separate stints.
