What to expect in the head coaching market heading into the offseason? / News - Basketnews.com

As we're getting into a crucial part of the EuroLeague season, it's also time for some rumors, when potential scenarios about next season start to surface. We have decided to take a look at what might happen in the head coaching market next summer, from the potential return of Xavi Pascual to the future of Maccabi Tel Aviv's bench.

We are about to enter a very particular phase of the EuroLeague season, with each game starting to have more and more importance to the standings as the end of the regular season approaches. However, at the same time, we also begin to think about what might happen next summer when the market goes into full swing.

Usually, between the end of January and the beginning of February, we start to hear the first rumors about the next season and what movements there might be.

So, let's take a step back from current events and focus on what might happen in the coming months, especially on the EuroLeague teams' benches.

This season has already been quite intense after 6 teams changed their coaches:Virtus Segafredo Bologna,LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne,Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz,Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade,Zalgiris Kaunas, andFenerbahce Beko Istanbul.

ASVEL have already had three different coaches this season, starting withT.J. Parker, then with a period of about two months withGianmarco Pozzecco, and now with the presence ofPierric Poupetat least until the end of this season.

The change that made the most noise was probably in Fenerbahce, which decided to terminate its contract withDimitris Itoudisand chose to focus onSarunas Jasikeviciusto turn around a season that seemed to have reached an impasse from which it seemed very complex to break out.

But despite the many changes that have already occurred, we may see even more this summer. So, let's try to figure out which teams might be looking for a new coach and which are the most desirable candidates.
