Serbian club Mega Basket renames facility after Dejan Milojevic / News - Basketnews.com

The facility in Belgrade, previously called Mega Factory, will now be named Dejan Milojevic Training Center.

The sudden loss of Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic shocked the basketball world. To honor his memory, his former club, Mega MIS Belgrade, will rename a venue after him.

The club announced that the Mega Factory Hall in Belgrade will now be called Dejan Milojevic Training Center.

Before departing to the NBA in 2021, Milojevic began his coaching career in Mega. Throughout his eight seasons with the club, the late Serbian helped develop numerous players in the organization, including NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.

Milojevic was a professional player who spent more than a decade in Europe, competing for multiple seasons in the Euroleague, the continent's top tournament. He played forBuducnost PodgoricaandPartizan Belgradein the Euroleague, averaging 12 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Alongside Buducnost, he also represented Valencia Basket in the EuroCup.

After coaching in Mega Basket, Milojevic went to the NBA to assist head coach Steve Kerr in the Golden State Warriors. The Serbian specialist won the NBA title in 2022.
