"I never would eject a fan," Doncic said in the post-game conference. "They pay for tickets. But I had enough, he was cursing me the whole first half, too. A little bit of frustration."
Doncic also went on to criticize ESPN's reporter Tim MacMahon for reporting that he ejected the Suns fan for saying, "Luka, you're tired! Get your ass on the treadmill!".
"I saw you when you said about the fan. It was not true at all. It was not the only thing he said. But I knew you would be the first to point out something like that.
I'm not going to say what he said, but I knew you were going to be the first one to put out something like that. It's just funny. You always seem to be the first one to put some bad stuff about me," Doncic told MacMahon.
"First of all, 99% of the stuff I've written about you has been good," MacMahon tried to respond. "I was sitting two rows behind us."
"I don't know," Doncic responded. "All right, was it the only thing he said at the time?"
"That was what you reacted to [by calling security]," MacMahon said.
"Yeah, I was hearing [it] the whole first half. Or you didn't hear anything?" Doncic asked once again.
"He was definitely a holler," MacMahon responded, finishing a lengthy back-and-forth conversation with the Mavericks superstar.
Doncic finished the game with 34 points (11/24 FG, 4/11 3PT, 8/12 FT), 8 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and 5 turnovers, but the Mavericks lost 109-132.
This season, Doncic averages 33.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game in 36 appearances for the Mavericks.
