Doc Rivers will take over as head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks very soon.

According to Jamal Collier of ESPN, Rivers will be unveiled in a press conference on the same day that the Bucks go against the New Orleans Pelicans.

While Rivers will not be commanding the team for that match-up, he is nevertheless expected to take over the Bucks officially before the game against the Denver Nuggets.

Doc Rivers has been unemployed since the end of the 2022-23 season, when he was sacked, alongside Dave Joerger, by the Philadelphia 76ers management.

He and Joerger are now both expected to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, which fired its previous head coach, Adrian Griffin, despite a strong 30-13 start to the season.
