However, his debut didn't pan out the way everyone intended. Reed played less than 14 minutes against Taouyan Yunbao. With 7 minutes and 40 seconds left in the second quarter, he suddenly passed out and fell to the floor, without any contact with another player taking place.
After a few minutes, Reed exited the court with the help of the team staff. According to Yahoo News, he seemed to be very conscious and said the incident "wasn't a big deal." Nevertheless, for safety reasons, his team sent him to the hospital for medical tests.
The 33-year-old American big man most recently played for Fuenlabrada in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Prior to that, he spent two seasons with Buducnost in the Montenegrin league. In the 2021-22 season, Reed averaged 11.3 points and 5.8 rebounds in 13 Eurocup games, ranking fourth in the league.
Reed's team won the Montenegrin Cup in 2022. He was voted to the D-League All-Star Game in 2015.
