Eventually, the Los Angeles team went on to beat the Warriors with a close score of 144-145 after double overtime.
"I might comment on the free throws that they have shot, but my mom's here right now, and I want to be on my best behavior," the specialist said in the post-game press conference. "So, I'm not going to comment on their 43 free throws to our 16."
Kerr was particularly critical of the treatment Steph Curry received.
"I'm not going to comment on Steph shooting three free throws in 43 minutes. So, I am not going to comment on that," he said with a slight smile.
The Golden State specialist is not the first head coach to criticize refereeing in a Lakers game. Darko Rajakovic of the Toronto Raptors had also railed on the issue a while back.
