The 27-year-old guard registered a plus-minus of +256 during the month, marking the second-best result in the category in NBA history since plus-minus began getting tracked in the mid-90s.

The first on the list is Scottie Pippen, who had an astonishing +272 in November 1996. Interestingly, OG Anunoby, who got traded from the Toronto Raptors to the New York Knicks this season, registered the fourth-best plus-minus result ever, with +252 in January.

Earlier in January, Anunoby set an NBA record in the category by acquiring +111 in plus-minus in his first five games with the team.

Brunson is having a career year, averaging 26.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game - all career bests.

The Knicks finished January with an impressive record of 14-2. They're now third in the Eastern Conference with 31 wins and 17 losses.
